EDGE Legacy
AACRAO recognizes and honors Dr. William Paver of UT Austin and Foreign Credentials Services of America for his contribution to the field of international education through the development of The Electronic Database for Global Education (EDGE). Dr. Paver oversaw the development of the initial software and content framework and organized a team to create the EDGE Database. The original team, which also comprised the first iteration of the International Education Standards Council (IESC), consisted of Gloria Nathanson of UCLA, Robert Watkins of UT Austin, Johnny Johnson of Monterey Peninsula College, and Dale Gough from AACRAO.
In coordination with experienced professionals in international education and AACRAO staff members, this group developed the initial profiles with generous support from The Paver Family Foundation, which maintained and funded the project through its development. AACRAO appreciates the work of Dr. Paver and those who shaped EDGE and gives particular thanks to the Paver Family Foundation.
